Young Seekers Meet Jesus in Tokyo
After a Sunday service at International Christian Assembly Tokyo, Japan, a young Japanese man named Haruto introduced himself. He told us he wanted to learn more about Jesus and the meaning of life.
Over the next few weeks, Haruto regularly came to services and began meeting with us for one-on-one talks about Jesus and the Bible.
One Sunday, with a smile on his face, Haruto said he was ready to fully surrender his life to Jesus. It was a joy to pray with Haruto to receive Jesus as Savior. A few weeks later, Haruto told the entire church how Jesus had transformed his life. Next, he was baptized!
Haruto is baptized by the man who led him to Christ, Jonathan Lowrance, missionary to Japan. Lowrance and his wife, Melissa, frequently use LFTL-funded resources to communicate the gospel to young seekers like Haruto.
Soon after, Asya, a young Russian woman visited ICA. Her only exposure to Christianity was in Russian Orthodox churches where sin and shame are emphasized over hope in Jesus Christ. Asya was deeply touched as she listened to the gospel. She began to attend church regularly and ask questions about Jesus.
One Sunday, Asya came to us in tears. She wanted to experience salvation and hope in Jesus! A few weeks later, she, too, was baptized.

Asya is baptized by missionary Jonathan Lowrance. In addition to discipleship materials, LFTL funds provides FireBibles for seekers like Asya so theri questions about Jesus and Christianity can be answered.
Both Haruto and Asya are spiritually growing in amazing ways. They have developed a deep love for God’s Word and they spend time each week studying their new FireBibles provided by Light for the Lost funds.
Thank you, Light for the Lost, for providing evangelism resources we use to reach and disciple young people here in Japan!
